Privacy policy

Data we collect

When you submit a form, we collect the contact details, message, listing details, and any listing images you provide, plus source, referrer, landing page, and UTM fields where available. If you join the mailing list, we store your email address, language, signup source, and consent.

Reviews and identity

You sign in with a one-time code to publish or manage a review. The address used for sign-in is not displayed with the review. The tool above returns only review status and dates connected to a deletion request.

Business listing access

When you request access to a listing, we collect your name, contact details, role, and information our team can use to check your connection to the business. These details and verification notes are not displayed on the public listing. We also keep access decisions, invitations, and proposed changes to maintain a record of listing management. Business replies to reviews are public once published. For questions or requests about your business account data, contact us at the address below.

How data is used

Enquiry data is used to respond to your request, notify the site owner, send an auto-reply when enabled, and measure which pages and calls to action are working. Mailing-list data is used to send Destination Congo news, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Analytics

The site records basic page-view and interaction events. Optional GA4, Plausible, or PostHog integrations only load when configured by the site owner.

Storage and access

Application data is stored server-side. Submitted listing images are converted to compressed WebP files and stored for review. Supabase service credentials are not exposed in browser code, and browsers do not receive direct access to application tables.
